Start Slowly: Don't start out as if you are in a boot camp if you haven't worked out in ages because this just guarantees you will not enjoy your workout, its too hard!

 

Choose a workout for your Shape: Looking great is about making your entire body appear fit and balanced.

 

Adjust you workout to your schedule: Work out three days a week if you can really carve out a block of time. Exercise for an hour including warm up, strength training, and cool down.

 

Work out almost daily: if you only have small windows of of time or just prefer shorter workouts

 

Meet with a Personal Trainer: Even if its only once to get some guidance for the goals you want to achieve. Ask lots of questions and takes even more notes!

 

Don't ask too much of your Diet: Can you lose 10 pounds in 10 days, sure, but you'll have to starve yourself and you will certainly gain it back and more! Slow down, shoot for 1-2 pounds per week.

 

Plan Ahead: Carry snacks like string cheese or yogurt. If you wait until you are starving you will break down and order the 800 calorie croissant with your coffee.  When you eat out: Order what ever looks good to you, but cut the portion in half. This way you don't have to count calories and worry over each bite you eat.

 

Lift the heaviest weights you can once a week: This will give you great definition, plus its good to kick your own butt once in a while.

 

Go the gym even if you don't feel like it: Then get dressed and leave the locker room, if you still don't want to work out, then fine, leave. But 9 time out of 10 you will stay
